Date: April 6, 2023
Re: Grosse Pointe Education Association Teacher of the Year 2023
With more than five hundred teachers represented by the Grosse Pointe Education Educators will receive a plaque and the GPEA will be featuring each teacher on their website (www.myGPEA.org) and Facebook. The Teacher of the Year Committee is committed to recognizing the amazing achievements, hard work and dedication of educational practitioners working in the Grosse Pointe Public School System. Our Association is excited to announce today Teachers of the Year for each building in the Grosse Pointe Public School District.
“This is a great day for all of our teachers and students in the district. Just like last year, we had an outpouring of nominations for so many wonderful teachers, social workers, counselors – all of our educators. It made the Committee’s review a challenge.”
“Grosse Pointe educators continue to invest in building GP Schools into one of the best districts in the State of Michigan, ALWAYS putting the interests and needs of their students at the top of their priorities. Grosse Pointe is known for its excellence in teaching; the dedication of our teachers has created that excellence. Today we recognize one educator from each building who was nominated and recognized by their colleagues as being exceptional.” Taryn Loughlin, co-President of the GPEA.
