GPEA 2023 Scholarship Winner Announced

Rocco Roman has been awarded a $500 scholarship from the Grosse Pointe
Education Association (GPEA). Rocco is a student at Lutheran North High School
and will attend Xavier University’s Honors Data Science program in the Fall.
Rocco’s mother, Jessica Roman, is a teacher at Grosse Pointe North High School.
The Grosse Pointe Education Association, an affiliate of the Michigan Education
Association and the National Education Association, is a professional organization
for teachers working with students in the Grosse Pointe Public School System.
Recognizing and appreciating the value of education, the teachers’ group has
provided scholarships to the children of members for the last 22 years.
